Reuel Orlando Husbands , also known as “Dane” or “Grandfather” of  Stroud  Bay Road, Crab Hill, St. Lucy, entered peacefully into rest at age 86. Former employee of Barbados Transport Board.

Son of the late Miriam Husbands and John Griffith.

Father of Betty Brome, Valnora Philpotts (Canada), Maxine Norville, Michelle Greaves, Eudene Broomes, Collin and Rueul Springer (both of the USA).

Grandfather of  Danielle Brome, Julian, Dion, and  Ian  Broomes,  Zaviere Walkes, Damien, Mechanne, Akeem and Shane Greaves, Lisa Emmanuel, Nicardo Roach, Shade and Antonio Norville, Khalise and Zarina Springer (both of the USA), Jamar Toppin (USA) and Jamal Greaves (Canada).

Great-Grandfather of 17.

Uncle of Lloyd, Margo, Valda and Cecile Griffith, Lorna, Octavia, Gaylene and Jacqueline Husbands and Lorna Broome and six others.

Father-in-law of Rollinston and Emerson Broomes.

Relative of the Husbands, Griffith and Cadogan families.

The funeral of the late Reuel Orlando Husbands leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. for a Graveside Service of Thanksgiving at Mount Memorial Gardens in Casuarina Lawns, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m.
