Mervyn Anthony Cumberbatch, of Jamestown Park, Holetown, St. James,  entered peacefully into rest at age 84.  Photographer and Retired Manager of Sun Colour Lab & Graphic Photo Lab.

Husband of Mary Cumberbatch.

Son of the late Arona and Ithon Cumberbatch.

Father of Sharon, Maurice and Carol Cumberbatch, and Julia Grant nee Cumberbatch.

Grandfather of  Eden, Jamie, Faron, Rio, Eva, Eyanna, Theo and Jace all of the U.K.

Great–Grandfather of  Logan, Aubrey and Theodore of the U.K.

Brother of Aileen and Hazel Cumberbatch, Yvonne Liverpool, Jeanette Bishop and the late Keith Cumberbatch.

Uncle of Sonia, Derek & Karen Alleyne, Allan Tull, Sharlane Cumberbatch, Howard, Gregory and Deidre Liverpool.

Cousin of Wilma Pilgrim and Brenda Afolabi.

Father-in-law of Robert Grant. 

Brother-in-law of Herbert Liverpool.

Relative of the Cox, Downes, Haynes, Prescod and Taylor families.

The funeral of the late Mervyn Anthony Cumberbatch leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Monday, February 28th, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. for St. James Parish Church, Church Point, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.

The funeral will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.

A collection will be made in aid of the Barbados Cancer Society, Envelopes will be provided.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 7:30 am on Monday. 

All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect.
