Leona Loleta Brome, also known as “Leta”, “Mama”, “Ma”, “Mother”, “Mum” or “Grandmother” of Crab Hill, #1 Tenantry Road, St. Lucy,  entered peacefully into rest at age 92 years.  Devoted member of Selah Methodist Church in Content, St. Lucy.

Mother of Icilma Babb, Bentley, Jefferson and Carl Broomes, Marva Hinds, Mondelle Hunte (all of Canada), Anderson Broomes, Emerson Broome (Preconco Ltd.), Rollinston Brome (Retired Sergeant #85 of the Barbados Police Service) and Jacqueline Cumberbatch (School Meals Service Assistant).

Grandmother of  26.

Great–Grandmother of 26.

Great-Great-Grandmother of 3.

Sister of Veronica Worrell, Frank Brome, Naomi Bowen, Zelma Carter, Adesta Bignal and the late Vivian Broome and Theamonda Boyce.

Aunt of many.

Mother-in-law of Ocled Babb, Philip Hinds, Veronica Broomes, Dr. Orlena Broomes and Janice Fletcher-Broomes (all of Canada), Michael Cumberbatch, Marylin Broomes, Betty Brome and Cloris Hinds-Broome.

Relative of the Harvey, Hinds, Small, Toppin, Greaves of Shorey Village, Broome, Brome and Broomes families.

Friend of Rev. Arlette Waterman of the Methodist Circuit, Sheila Hinds, Eileen Bowen, Patricia Norville, Juliet Greene and many others.

The funeral of the late Leona Loleta Brome leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Friday, October 7th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. for Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving and the interment at 2:00 p.m.

 The organist is kindly asked to attend.

The body will repose for viewing at the Selah Methodist Church to reflect on the memories of Leona Loleta Brome from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
