Leila Hazel Parris nee Headley, age 92 years, of Mount Standfast, St. James entered peacefully into rest on 23rd May, 2021.  

Wife of the late Lloyd “Captain” Parris.

Daughter of the late James and Eldica “Hilda” Headley.

Mother of Monica, Jennifer and Yvette Headley, Keith and Wayne Parris, Juliette Beckles and the late Michael Headley.

Grandmother of   Olivia “Terrie” and Errol Miller, Dr. Ashley Wiltshire, Jalisa Moore and Daniel Parris.

Great Grandmother of  Nova and Luna Moore and 5 others.

Sister of the late Robert and Dudley Smith, Joyce Headley and Vere Sandiford.

Niece of the late Edna Bayne

Aunt of Norma Skeete, Yvonne Griffith-Chandler, Keith Padmore, Shirley Mason, Janet, Monette, Jackie and Winston Smith, Ann Codrington, Angela Russel, Barbara Cain, Vernon Smith, Steve Murray, Willoughby Forte, and 5 others and the late Larry Smith and Curwin McKetney.

The funeral of the late Leila Hazel Parris nee Headley leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Tuesday, June 15th at 8:00 a.m. for St. James Parish Church, Church Point, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.  Live streaming can be viewed via the link https://inlovingmemory.online/LeilaParris .

Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy to reflect on the memories of Leila Hazel Parris nee Headley from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday. 

All Covid 19 protocols will be in effect.
