Hugh Decoursey Small of Rose Hill, St. Peter entered peacefully into rest at age 68.  Retired Post Master, Barbados Postal Service.

Husband of Brenda Small.  Son of the late Kenrick and Zelmira Scantlebury.  Father of Dave Small (B’dos Port Inc.), Janelle Small (Arawak Cement Co. Ltd.) and Nicole Rivera (U.S.A.). Grandfather of Rashada Lopez (Tom Adams Financial Centre), Danielle Grant (University of the West Indies), Daliza Small (The St. Michael School).  Brother of Margarita and Anthony Small, Mondelle Welch, Merlene and Grafton Scantlebury (U.K.) and Delbra Finlayson (U.K.).

Uncle of Kerri-Ann, Marlon, Shamar and Shamia Small, Daley Harris, Charmaine and Kevin Welch, Shontelle, Simone, Janay, Jamaine, Dwayne, Jahzara and Kenrick Scantlebury, Katrina Ramsay, Jade Thomas and Janica Finlayson.  Father-in-law of Allison Small.  Son-in-law of Veta Hinds.  Brother-in-law of Verna Walkes, Sonia Small, Jasmine Scantlebury and Louis Welch.  Relative of the Small, Scantlebury, Hinds, Proverbs and Crichlow families. Friend of Carlyle Husbands, Geoffrey Small, Patrick Walkes, Malcolm Jones, Sarsfield Chaplin, Vincent Green, Joycelyn King, Andrew and Jeffrey Boyce, the Bethany Baptist Church family, Barbados Postal Service family and many others.

The funeral of the late Hugh Decoursey Small leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Thursday, October 14th at 12 noon for Casuarina Lawns, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Graveside Service of Thanksgiving and the interment at 2:00 p.m.  Mourning colors are optional.   Live streaming can be viewed via the link https://youtu.be/C-umgWj8EKc 

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
