Hubert Athelston Franklin, also known as “Young” late of Cole’s Cave, St. Lucy formerly of Stroud Bay Road, St. Lucy, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, March 30th, 2019, at age 90. 

Husband of the late Marlene Franklin.

Father of Jefferson Skinner, Joan Skinner-Graham, Yolanda Griffith, Wayne Slocombe and Petra Scully (U.S.A.).

Step-father of Heather Griffiths and David Slocombe.

Grandfather of Terri-Anne Lowe (Washington DC, U.S.A.), Wayne Junior Scully (U.S.A.), Jessica Slocombe, Jason Slocombe (Atlanta), Mark Griffiths, Jazari Slocombe (U.S.A.), Marguerite and Dwayne Skinner and 3 others.

Great Grandfather of Tyler Slocombe and Dashonda Babb.

Great-Great-Grandfather of 1.

Father-in-Law of Reynold Griffith.

Relative of the Franklin, Griffith and Husband families.

Friend of many.

The funeral of the late Hubert Athelston Franklin leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Wednesday, April 17th at 12:30 p.m. for Grape Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church, Grape Hall, St. Lucy where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 2:30 p.m.  The funeral will then proceed to Casuarina Lawns, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter for the interment.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday.
