George Edward Austin, of Lot 12 Maynards’s Housing Area, St. Peter formerly of Bishop’s Tenantry, St. Lucy,  entered peacefully into rest at age 82.  Retired Customs Officer, Customs and Excise Department.

Husband of Leanora (Erla) Austin nee Yeoman.

Son of the late McCloud and Hermina Austin.

Father of Wayne Austin (BL&P Co Ltd), Robin Austin, Gregory Austin (Chef) and Nicole Austin Belgrave (Land  Adjudication Unit.)

Grandfather of  Nicholas, Nykayla, Nuscha, Nazwara, Nibidza and Tyze Austin, Brandon Kinch and Samiya Jones.

Brother of Dorothy Beaujour, Ula ONeal and Levi Austin, the late Gwendolyn Burnett, Gewndolyn “Nicey” Burgess, Reginald and Keith Boyce.

Uncle of Sharon Fields, Maylean ONeal-Forde, Reginald Burnett and many others.

Father-in-law of Peter Belgrave and Dian Austin.

Brother-in-law of DaCosta ONeal, Myrleen, Michael and Genevieve Yeoman, the late Vera Leslie and Veronica Yeoman.

Relative of the Austin, Roach, Boyce, Burnett and Burgess families.

The funeral of the late George Edward Austin leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Thursday, December 2nd,  2021 at 1:30 p.m. for St. Clements Anglican Church, Near Lowlands, St. Lucy where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving and the interment at 3:45 p.m.  The organist is kindly asked to attend.

Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy to reflect the memories of George Edward Austin from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday

All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect, with a maximum of 25 persons allowed to be in attendance.
