Eric Alphonso Massiah, age 93 late of Endeavour Close, Station Hill, St. Peter.  Former Sugar Chemist and Retired Assistant Manager of Haymans Sugar Factory.

Husband of the late Oretha “Reta” Massiah. 

Father of Angela Gilkes, Jean Massiah-Armstrong, Ermin Griffith, Peter Massiah, Charmaine McCarthy and the late Carlos Massiah.

Grandfather of Marc, Jamaal, Zindi and Seth Massiah, Ajani and Damani Gilkes, Jamar Armstrong, Kimberly and Sasha Griffith, Dr. Ashley and Sarina McCarthy and the late Hakeem Massiah. 

Great Grandfather of Xavea King, Jamika Francis, Dominic Gilkes and four others.   

Brother of Calvin Durant, Matrid Harris, Joyce Brathwaite, Elaine, Roy and George Alleyne and the late Elsie Silas. 

Uncle of Sandra Norris, Yvette Silas, David Alleyne, Faye Clarke and others.

Father-in-law of Al Gilkes, Justice Cecil McCarthy and Sherry Linton-Massiah.

Brother-in-law of Kay and Cynthia Alleyne, Rubie Clarke and Mykul Husbands.

Relative of the Durant family of Christ Church and St. Philip.

Friend of Lincoln Scantlebury, Verton Bishop, Joan Finch and the residents of Endeavour Close.

The funeral of the late Eric Alphonso Massiah leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, November 7th at 1:30p.m. for The Chapel of Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 3:30 p.m.  The cortege will then proceed to Casuarina Lawns for the interment.  Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Live streaming will be available via https://inlovingmemory.online/EricMassiah

    Our deepest condolences to the entire family of the late Eric Massiah from his brothers Calvin Durant, Roman and Kay Alleyne, and sisters Matrid, Joyce and Elaine Alleyne, and nephew David Alleyne. My uncle was an incredible family man who lived righteously to keep his family at the forefront of his entire life. He lived his life with love of family for his brothers and sisters he grew up with. These sentiments were echoed by his siblings, a great elder brother, a beautiful soul, and a wonderful uncle to me. I know he has left us to be with his wife in heaven. Let his memories be a blessing that brings comfort to his family during the bereavement. May uncle Eric, Rest in Heavenly Peace with his Lord and Saviour. RIP!!
