Bernard Ianson Bowen late of River Bay, St. Lucy, entered peacefully into rest at age 60.  Former Fire Officer of the Barbados Fire Service. Former Chairman and Member of the Barbados Fire Service Association.  Former Regional President of the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters (I.A.B.P.F.F.).  Former founding member of Caribbean Association of Fire Fighters (C.A.F.F).

Son of the late Waple Todd nee Bowen and Sydney Todd.

Father of Jamar McCaskie (BPWCCUL), Kevin McCaskie (A&C Security, former employee of Almond Beach) and Natalie Joseph (U.S.A.).

Grandfather of Kori Joseph (U.S.A.)

Nephew of Georgia Taylor (U.S.A.), Claudine Peart (U.K.) and Patricia Waterman.

Cousin of Pearline Phillips, Mark Smith, Sonia Taylor-Moore, Vera Springer (U.S.A.), Yvette Drayton, Ashton and Deborah Parris and many more too numerous to mention.

Relative of the Bowen, Todd, Brome, Hinds, Yearwood, Downes, Smith, Taylor, Jackman and Parris families.

Friend of Anthony King, Rosemary Mayers, Glyne Bourne, Daveson Deane, Juanita Greaves, Ingrid Griffith, Yvonne McCaskie-Waterman, Samuel and Vernitha Small (U.S.A.), Morella George, the Dominican Fire Department, the Barbados Customs and Excise Department and many others too numerous to mention.

The funeral of the late Bernard Ianson Bowen leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Monday, August 20th at 1:00 p.m. for St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Near Lowlands, St. Lucy where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving and the interment at 3:30 p.m.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.  Tributes commence at 3:00 p.m.

The body of the late Bernard Ianson Bowen will repose for viewing at the Bridgetown Fire Station, Probyn Street, St. Michael from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17th, 2018.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 12:30 p.m. on Monday
