It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of  Whylma Elfreda King, age 76, of Church Hill Road, Ashton Hall, St. Peter.  

Daughter of the late Etheline and Samuel King.

Mother of Winfield, Margaret, Tyrone and Junior King.

Grandmother of Tracey, Damian, Zane and Meka King, Dwayne and Cherisse Beckles, Shawn Boyce-King and Damearo Greaves.  

Great Grandmother of Jekobee Beckles.  

Sister of Maria Forde, the late Wendell and Franklyn King, Lolita Lawson and Velda Hunte.

Aunt of Colvin, Oliver, Joan, Sonia and Jacqueline King, Glenis, Diane, Junior and Patrick Hunte and the late Anita King.

Great Aunt of Joanne and the late Trevor King

Mother-in-law of Inga King.

Relative of the Knight family (Seclusion Road, Black Rock), the Cumberbatch family (The Whim), the Reece family (Stadium Road) and the Denny family (Church Street Gardens, Speightstown).

The funeral of the late Whylma Elfreda King leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, December 12^th at 8:00 a.m. for St. Peter’s Parish Church, Church Street, Speightstown, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. Peter’s Cemetery for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend. Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy to reflect the memories of Whylma Elfreda King from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 5:30p.m. on Friday. 

All COVID-19 protocols will be in effect with 140 persons allowed to attend the service in the church.  The physical distancing of 3 feet will apply to persons at the graveside.
