Rupert Astley Rock also known as “Taa” or “Rockie” of Cave Hill, St. Lucy entered peacefully into rest on September 1st, 2019 in his 99th year. Retired Warden of the National Conservation Commission (Farley Hill Park).  Member of the Cave Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Beloved husband of Edna Rock.

Beloved father of Martin Val Rock, Maria Rock Daniels (U.K.), Barbara Phillips, Patricia Rock-Weekes (U.S.A), Anderson Rock (U.S.A), Dr. Letnie Rock, Donalson Rock and Steve Rock (U.S.A).

Grandfather of Neyz Rock-Mayers, Xeco Rock, Melannie Rock-Moore, Danielle Thomas, Julia Rock, Maryse Rock, Kristen Chandler, Ryan and Reanna Rock and the late Dexx Jemmott-Rock.

Great-grandfather of five.

Brother of Denzil Morris, Joyce Barker, Marva Stuart, John Hinds, Sheila Griffith, Whitfield Prescott and Euraline Payne.

The funeral of the late Rupert Astley Rock leaves Earl’s Funeral Home Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. for the Cave Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Cave Hill, St. Lucy for a Service of Thanksgiving at 1:30 p.m.  The cortege will then proceed to the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter for the interment.

The body of the late Rupert Astley Rock will repose for viewing on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 at Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy from 4.00 p.m – 6.00 p.m.

Floral arrangements may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
