Oretha Naomi Massiah, age 86, affectionately known as “Reta” of Endeavour Close, Station Hill, St. Peter.  Member of St. Peter’s Parish Church Choir and long standing member of the Mothers’ Union.

Wife of Eric Massiah.

Daughter of the late Norman and Edna Husbands.

Mother of Angela Gilkes, Jean Massiah-Armstrong, Ermine Griffith, Peter Massiah, Charmaine McCarthy and the late Carlos Massiah.

Grandmother of Marc, Jamaal, Zindzi and Seth Massiah, Jamar Armstrong, Ajani and Damani Gilkes, Kimberley and Sasha Griffith, Ashley and Sarina McCarthy and the late Hakeem Massiah.

The funeral of the late Oretha Naomi Massiah leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, February 2nd at 11:30 a.m. for St. Peter’s Parish Church, Church Street, Speightstown, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 1:30 p.m.  The funeral will then proceed to St. Peter’s Cemetery for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.

Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy to reflect the memories of Oretha Naomi Massiah from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
