Mother of Reuben and Esther Payne and Ruth Best (all of the U.K.), Timothy, Paul, Charles and David Payne, Dina Salankey and the late Justice Carlisle Payne, Q.C., Eugena Brown, Joseph Payne (former M.P. and Deputy Speaker) and Samuel Payne.

Grandmother of Allan, Joel, Renee, Julia, Steve, Carlos and Keren Payne, Dr. Jason Payne, Martin, Peter and Sonia Brown, Khama Burke and Nia Salankey-Payne.

Great Grandmother of Daniel, Matthew, Louisa and Joshua Brown, Rikayla and Rianna Burke, Onri Salankey, India, Theodore, Felix, Benedict, Jewel and Julian Payne.

The funeral of the late Miriam Gertrude Payne leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, February 25th at 8:00 a.m. for Christian Mission Gospel Tabernacle, Corner of Lightfoot Lane and Tudor Street, Bridgetown where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.

The body of the late Miriam Gertrude Payne will repose for viewing at Rock Dundo Christian Mission, Rock Dundo, St. James from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

    It is comforting that the Bible shows that death does not end it all. There will be a resurrection. The dead will rise again (John 5:28,29). This will happen for our God has a yearning to resurrect His precious ones (Job 14:13-15; Revelation 21:3-5)
