It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mervyn Augustus White, age 64, of #5 Endeavour Close, St. Peter formerly of Round-the-Town, St. Peter.  Former Night Auditor of Cobblers Cove Hotel, 1st Vice President of Maple Club and Board Member of Speightstown Nazarene Church.  

Loving Husband of Jacqueline Alleyne. 

Son of the late Agatha White and Percy Jordan.

Father of Marvyn White.

Grandfather of Joshua White. 

Adoptive father of Altovise Prescod.

Brother of Deneice Reece, Adrian Jordan, Trevor, Grace and Rhonda White.

Nephew of Lolita (Captain) Gibbons.

Uncle of Jalessa Jordan, Fabian Clarke, Allison Reece, Tameisha and Shakeria White.

Cousin of Anthony, Maureen, Marilyn and Maxine White, Marlene Roachford, Ena and Michelle Gibbons, the late Daphnie Moore and many others.

Brother-in-Law of Natalie White, Leon Reece and Valorie Jordan.

Relative of the Griffith, Jordan, Harris, Fergusson and Gibbons families.

Friend of many.

The funeral of the late Mervyn Augustus White leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Friday, November 6th at 12:30 p.m. for Christ Is The Answer Family Church, Battaley’s, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 2:30 p.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. Peter’s Cemetery for the interment.  Tributes commence at 2:00 p.m.  Live streaming available via https://bit.ly/2Ji3Uod.

The body of the late Mervyn Augustus White will repose for viewing at Maple Cricket Club, Trents, St. James from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 12 noon on Friday.
