Mavis Louise Slocombe nee King, also known as ‘Mavis King’ of Clarke’s Road, Ashton Hall, St. Peter entered peacefully into rest at age 96.

Wife of the late Vivian Carsdale Slocombe.  Mother of Karen “Anne” and Ian Slocombe Grandmother of Sara Abraham (U.S.A.).  Great Grandmother of Karma Abraham-Glover (U.S.A.).  Sister of the late Mabel King-Watson, Carmen, Arthur and Elston King. Aunt of the late Cynthia and Daphne King.  Cousin of Eugene Thompson, Dorothy, Sandra and John King, Bentley and Claudette Howell and Joyce Holder.  Sister-in-law of Lolita Slocombe.  Relative of Victor Slocombe and family, the King, Walker and Skeete families. Friend of Dorothy Mayers, Anita Welch, Laurenta Sealy-Prescod, Grace Haynes, the late Sylvestine Worrell and many others.

Members of the Tent Gathering are asked to meet for a Service of Thanksgiving on Thursday, May 31st at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy.  The cortege will then proceed to All Saints Anglican Church, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter for a second service and the interment at 4:00 p.m.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
