Julian Headley, also known as “Junie, Sam or Black Power” of 13 Denton Road, Grazettes, St. Michael entered peacefully into rest at age 74.  Former Driver of the Transport Board and Proprietor of Sam’s Canteen, Grazettes Industrial Estate.

Son of the late Louise Beatrice Brathwaite nee Headley.  Father of Orlando Moore, Sandra Holder and Margarita Burke (all of the U.S.A.), Sheldine Greene (U.W.I.), Troy Worrell (Fire Officer) and Sandra Norville (Trustworthy Systems). Grandfather of Jayda, Kahlia, Kalia and Jaydan Worrell, Cheriah Holder, Sade Greene-Winter, Sierra, Ethan and Tyler Austin and 4 others.  Brother of Marva Walker, Norma, Ruby Arthur (all of England), Diana Gittens, Whitfield Headley and Carson Bovell.  Uncle of Glendon Prescod, David Gittens, June, Jackie, Sherlock and Cassie Headley, the St. Hill, Prescod and Brewster families and many others.  Cousin of Dr. Shantal Young, Casper, Wayne and Kelly Young.  Special friend of Marlene Norville and family.  Relative of the Headley, Glasgow, Bovell, Slocombe and Broomes families (of St. Lucy and St. John). Friend of Vonda Worrell, Maisie Moore, Wesley Clarke, Wyclef Greaves, Kathy Forde, Paul Blackman, Christopher Brathwaite, Winston Clement, Richard and Rachel Daisley, Bishop Marcus Hinds and the Bethel Pentecostal members, Cavil Best and family.

The funeral of the late Julian Headley leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Friday, October 25th at 1:30 p.m. for St. John’s Parish Church, St. John where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 3:30 p.m.

The funeral will then proceed to St. John’s Cemetery for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
