Harold Vernon Murphy also known as “Vernon” and Valeta Vernise Murphy also known as “Velda” of Mount Standfast, St. James, entered peacefully into rest at ages 90 and 89 respectively.  Members of The Garden Community Church of God.

Husband of Valeta Vernise Murphy.

Son of the late James Arthur and Pricilla Murphy.

Parents of Anderson Murphy (B’dos Police Service), Colin Murphy (Republic Bank of B’dos Ltd) and Dr. Paul Murphy (Caribbean Development Bank).

Grandparents of Kristen Murphy and Kyrah Clarke.  

Brother of the late Elbert, Darnly and Edna Murphy.

Uncle of Gordon, Henderson and Earline Murphy,

Marcia Farley, Veronica Haynes, Deborah Inniss and Ricardo Hoyte.

Great–Uncle of Tameka Farley and many others

Great, Great Uncle of Takara and Takira Farley and many others.

Father-in-law and Mother-in-law of Maxine Murphy.

The funeral of the late Harold Vernon Murphy and Valeta Vernise Murphy leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Tuesday, December 21st at 8:00 a.m. for The Garden Community Church of God, Reid Road, The Garden, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.  The organist is kindly asked to attend.  Live streaming can be viewed via the link https://watch.earlsfuneralhome.com/TheMurphys 

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday. 

All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect, with a maximum of 25 persons allowed to be in attendance.
