Esther Verona Jordan nee Taitt, late of “Lakes Ville” Lakes, St. Andrew and Babylon Road, Belleplaine, St. Andrew entered peacefully into rest on Friday, July 7th, 2017 at the age of 73Former Seamstress and Dressmaking Tutor.  A past Operator of the Alleyne School Canteen.  She sang Alto in the Choir of the National Women of the Church of God and was a past Vice-President of the Women’s Fellowship of the Belleplaine Church of God Reformation Movement.

 Wife of the late William D. Jordan (Building Contractor).

Daughter of the late Alphonza and Millicent Taitt.  

Beloved Mother of Jennifer Taitt (formerly of Royal Westmoreland) and Vondene “Donna” Taitt (B’dos Tourism Investment Inc).

Dearest Grandmother of Kevin and Cody Taitt.

Sister of Opal Clarke (U.S.A), Hugh Clarke, Oakley Taitt, Vivian ‘Rudolph’ Taitt, Ethna ‘Orlaine’ Small, the late Ethel and Clifton Clarke and Gene Taitt.

Aunt of Hetney, Lisa, Lana, Tracey and Rossi Clarke, Beverley Clarke-Leacock, Sonia Small-Als, Rodney Small, Lawrence Taitt (Barbados), Anthony, Laura, Celia and Owen Taitt, Fiona Taitt-Rembert, Monique, Clifton Jr, Christopher and Dwight Clarke, Michelle Sutton, Penelope Clarke-May, Geoffrey Jones and Gena Walker (all of USA) and Natalie Clarke (Germany).

The funeral of the late Esther Verona Jordan nee Taitt leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Tuesday, July 25th at  11:00a.m. for Church of God, Belleplaine, St. Andrew, where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 1:00 p.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. Andrew’s Parish Church, Belleplaine, St. Andrew for a second service and the interment at 3:30 p.m.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.  A Collection will be taken for the work of the Barbados Association of Palliative Care.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
