Emeline Viola Carrington, affectionately known as Babygold of Hillaby, St. Andrew,  entered peacefully into rest at age 79.  Long-Standing Member of St. Thomas Parish Church and Mother’s Union.

Daughter of the late Walter and Cecilia Jemmott.

Mother of Nola Cumberbatch, Eusteen Greaves, Victor Carrington and the late Andrew Jemmott.

Grandmother of  Nadine Cumberbatch, Jamar Greaves, Sade Jemmott, Jade Johnson, Crystal and Sapphire Carrington.

Great–Grandmother of  Shanae Gibson, Salahra Greaves, Journey Jemmott-Forde and Azaiyah Daisley.

Sister of the late Robert Mayers, Edward Jemmott, Elma Roach and Ismay Francis.

Aunt of Stephen, Roosvelt, Radcliff, Patrick, Bertram, Roger and Carlson Jemmott, Patricia Wood, Angela Forde, Rawl Francis, the late Beverly Jemmott-Green and many others.

Mother-in-law of Ian Greaves and Shantha Carrington.

In-law of Damian Forde and Shawana Cumberbatch. 

Relative of the Jemmott, Mayers, Alleyne, Lowe and Best families.

The funeral of the late Emeline Viola Carrington leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. for St. Thomas Parish Church, Arch Hall, St. Thomas where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving and the interment at 3:00 p.m.

The organist is kindly asked to attend.

Relatives and friends can visit the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel of Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael to reflect on the memories of Emeline Viola Carrington from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. 

All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect.
