Elsie Doreen Johnson nee Broomes of Matthew’s Drive, Lower Holder’s Hill, St. James entered peacefully into rest at age 92.  Retired employee of The Tamarind Cove Hotel.

Wife of the late Walter Johnson. 

Mother of Shurland Broome (Canada), Palma Broomes and Maurice Johnson.

Grandmother of Arielle Johnson, Kyle and Sheena Broome. 

Sister of Ekins Broome (U.S.A.) and Enid Broome.

Aunt of Roosevelt, Margaret and Cynthia Broomes, Ivan Padmore, Marlene Skinner, Leroy Moore, Heather Yearwood and Wendy Goodridge.

Mother-in-law of Valerie Forde-Broome and Nicole Johnson.

Relative of the Broomes, Blackman, Husbands and Reid families.

Friend of Esme Bovell and family and many others.

The funeral of the late Elsie Doreen Johnson nee Broomes leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, September 18th at 8:00 a.m. for Paynes Bay Methodist Church, Chapel Gap #1, Paynes Bay, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m.  The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.  Live streaming can be viewed via the link  https://watch.earlsfuneralhome.com/ElsieJohnson .

Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy to reflect the memories of Elsie Doreen Johnson nee Broomes from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 5:30 p.m. on Friday. 

All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect.
