Pastor Coswin Alphonso Carrington, also known as “Jookie or Preacher” of 1st Avenue Grazettes, St. Michael formerly of #1 Whitehall, St. Michael entered peacefully into rest at age 87.  

Husband of Naomi Grace Carrington.  Son of the late Dudley Grandison and Olive Evideana “Evie” Carrington.  Father of Anderson “de Plumber” Worrell, Irvin “Bop” Chandler, Anthony “Jookie” Springer, Ronnie Chandler (U.S.A.), Michael Gibbons (U.K.), Pastor Marcia Mayers (Emmanuel Temple), Coswin Jnr. (B.W.A.), Clothilda Mayers (Drapery Specialists), Dr. Angela Carrington-Dyall (A.U.B.) and Fire Officer 21 Andrew Carrington.  Grandfather of many.  Great Grandfather of many.  Step-father of Pheona Beckles, Wendy Newton (B’dos Port Authority) and 5 others.  Brother of Lescar, Courtney and Clyde Carrington and Elmine Bridgeman.

The funeral of the late Pastor Coswin Alphonso Carrington leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, October 19th at 12:00 noon for Mount of Praise Wesleyan Holiness Church, Tudor Bridge, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 2:00 p.m.  The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment.

The body of the late Pastor Coswin Alphonso Carrington will repose for viewing at the Kings Chapel Church, Butler Avenue, St. Michael from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
