Chetwyn Gideon Burnham, of Mount Standfast, Weston and Porters, St. James,  entered peacefully into rest at age 76.  Former Resident Manager of Sandy Lane Trust House Forte Hotel,  General and Resident Manager of Heywoods Resort, Divi Heritage, Mt. Irvine Bay Resort (Tobago), and Discovery Bay Beach Resort.

Son of the late Gideon and Marion Burnham.

Father of  Cheahan, Marrianne and Chemar Burnham, Michele Gaines (U.S.A.), Cowyn Franklyn and Shamfa Grey (Tobago).

Grandfather of  Karis and Koen Burnham-Hinds, Stacia and Nicholas Durant and Monsieur Gaines (U.S.A.). 

Brother of Maxine Burnham (London), Cheryl Rivera and the late Ezra Burnham and Barbara Packer. 

Nephew of Mayfield Chandler. 

Uncle of Richard Packer, Sara Packer-Gott (U.K.) and Brook Rivera.

Estranged Husband of Mariette Bannister-Burnham.

Cousin of Beulah Burnham-Wilson, Oscar and Ouida Burnham, Bernard, Bentley, Franklyn and David Richards, Anne Griffith, Joel Pilgrim, Marcia Sealy, Stanton and Wendell Thomas, Arlette Worrell and many others.

Relative of the Ramsay, Richards, Chandler, Packer, Worrell and Pilgrim families.

The funeral of the late Chetwyn Gideon Burnham leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy, on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m for The Garden Church of God, Reid Road, The Garden, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 1:00 p.m.

The funeral will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 10:30 a.m. on Saturday

A donation for the ongoing community outreach programs at the church will be taken.

Mourning colours are optional.
