Anthony Alphonza Scantlebury, also known as “Stormy or Jonah” of Moore Hill, St. Peter entered peacefully into rest at age 62.  Retired employee of Arawak Cement Plant.

 Companion of Jan Gilkes (Ilaro Court).

Son of the late Darrell and Eunice Scantlebury.

Father of Shemone Gilkes (Island Villas), Lasaunta Gilkes (Tamarind Cove Hotel), Triston Gilkes (Carizma Restaurant), Shaquille Gilkes (B.W.A.), Makaila Gilkes, Donte and Cherish Scantlebury.

Step-father of Katrina Gilkes (Port St. Charles) and Curtley Gilkes (Sandals).

Grandfather of Ashante, Kiara, Kahliya, Kayla, Khija, Kaylee,Mahlia and Si’nova.

Brother of John, Wosley and Winston Scantlebury, Lester Greaves, Clebert Lopez and 5 others, the late Ralph Scantlebury, Shelia Rudder and Murrell Newsam.

Uncle of Marietta Scantlebury, Janice Hunte, PC509 Rawle Scantlebury (R.B.P.F.), Fernon Scantlebury, Shawn and Wendy Knight, Winslow Benn, Garfield Scantlebury, June Walker, Vitlene Broomes, Darrel Scantlebury and 11 others.

 The funeral of the late Anthony Alphonza Scantlebury leaves Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort St. Lucy, on Thursday, March 15th at 2:00 p.m. for All Saints Anglican Church, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the Service of Thanksgiving at 4:00 p.m.  The funeral will then proceed to Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens for the interment.  The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.

Relatives and friends can visit in the chapel of Earl’s Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort St. Lucy to reflect the memories of Anthony Alphonza Scantlebury from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  Special thanks to the staff of the Clara Brathwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.

Floral tributes may be sent to Earl’s Funeral Home no later than 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
